Roadside
The midnight joggers,
Homeless Joes,
Alley cats,
And school girls,
Drunken stumblers,
Puppies on a leash,
Near college grads,
Those run ragged,
A few gone mad
All share one thing,
As do you,
And that’s the side
Of the road.
