Erin Burns is a 23 year old queer writer from Alberta, Canada.  Through her love of written expression, she has found a safe haven in a world that all too often rejects her voice. When she’s not writing long form fiction, she’s dabbling with short stories, ripping poetry from her gut and reading voraciously any fiction that draws her in and gives her a deep sense of home.

June

Lather that Place below the navel
Fingers treading water
Time transcending time
She trails the ocean
Drags it behind her

Moves through it like glass
Cutting continents in half
I floss myself with her bones
she sinks into me like poison
Teeth grinding teeth into ash
